Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced patent litigation paralegal to support attorneys handling high-stakes patent litigation matters in Washington, DC. This role offers fast-paced, sophisticated litigation and an integral role on trial teams.

You will manage complex case files, coordinate deposition materials, prepare exhibits, and assist with federal court filings and discovery while collaborating with attorneys, experts, vendors, clients and court personnel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience within patent litigation or complex commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of federal litigation procedures and the litigation lifecycle.
• Familiarity with federal court filings and electronic filing systems.
• Experience working with large-scale document productions and electronically stored information is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support throughout all phases of complex patent litigation.
• Assist attorneys with matters pending in federal courts.
• Support case teams from initial case assessment through discovery, pretrial preparation, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
• Coordinate and maintain case files, litigation databases, and electronic document repositories.
• Prepare and manage deposition materials, exhibits, subpoenas, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Track case deadlines, court filings, discovery obligations, and other litigation milestones.
• Coordinate with attorneys, experts, vendors, clients, and court personnel as needed.
• Assist with filing in federal courts and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Maintain accurate and organized records throughout the life of each matter.
• Provide additional litigation support as needed.
