Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an experienced IP/patent litigation attorney to join its trial-focused team in a hybrid, location-flexible role. You will draft, refine patent claim charts, and help shape case strategy on high-stakes infringement matters while working closely with senior trial lawyers.

Candidates must be admitted to the bar in at least one state and bring 1+ years of IP litigation experience; direct exposure to patent claim charts and courtroom practice is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 1+ years of directly relevant IP or patent litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience drafting and analyzing patent claim charts.
• Strong understanding of patent law and patent infringement litigation.
• Excellent legal research, analysis, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, analyze, and refine patent claim charts for active infringement litigation
• Help develop case strategy for complex, high-stakes patent disputes
• Conduct substantive patent litigation analysis and support case preparation
• Work closely with experienced trial attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle
• Take ownership of meaningful assignments with limited day-to-day oversight
• Help prepare matters for hearings, depositions, trial, and other critical litigation milestones
• Contribute creative legal and strategic thinking to challenging intellectual property disputes
• Build courtroom and trial experience while developing as a patent litigator
