Job summary

Day Pitney LLP is seeking an associate with 4–6 years of litigation experience to join our expanding IP Litigation team. The role may be based in Connecticut, Boston, New York, Washington, DC, or Miami, offering a hybrid work arrangement with two remote days per week.

The ideal candidate has experience drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; taking and defending depositions; and managing cases. Patent litigation experience is preferred and USPTO admission is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of commercial or intellectual property litigation experience.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; taking and defending depositions; preparing and responding to discovery.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and briefs for IP/commerce cases.
• Take and defend depositions; manage discovery.
• Conduct legal research and assist in hearings and trial preparation.
• Manage cases and coordinate with clients and colleagues on deadlines.
• Develop and expand patent litigation practice; engage in hearings and trial prep.
