Job summary

Kean Miller LLP is seeking an experienced Registered Patent Attorney to support its growing patent prosecution and litigation dockets. The ideal candidate will be based in New Orleans and work from our New Orleans office; however, candidates based in Baton Rouge, Houston, or The Woodlands will also be considered.

This position is open to both on-track and off-track candidates, including those interested in a reduced-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered to practice with the USPTO.
• Minimum of 5 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, prosecute, and manage patent and trademark applications and related documents.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, staff, and government offices about filings and status.
• Coordinate international patent and trademark filings and communicate with foreign counsel.
