The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or M.S. in a relevant technical field such as cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or an equivalent discipline. A background in biological sciences or pharmaceutical sciences is preferred. The candidate should have broad technical knowledge, experience in conducting prior art searches, and proficiency in patent preparation and prosecution. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct prior art searches to assess patentability and freedom to operate.
2. Analyze patents and scientific papers to support patent preparation and prosecution.
3. Assist with drafting and filing patent applications.
4. Provide technical expertise in biological or pharmaceutical sciences.
5. Collaborate with attorneys to develop patent strategies and provide technical insights.
6. Conduct patentability assessments and freedom to operate analyses.
7. Support patent prosecution efforts, including responding to office actions and correspondence with the USPTO.
8. Stay updated on advancements in relevant scientific fields.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field.
