Patent Attorney or Patent Agent opportunity to work remotely. Your responsibilities will be dependent upon your legal experience and/or technical background. Current needs primarily pertain to the preparation and prosecution of US patents, however, there is also the possibility of significant work in other related areas (e.g., strategic portfolio counseling; validity, infringement, and right to use opinions; PTAB issues; due diligence; technology licensing).

This highly regarded firm has clients within a variety of industries and has a strong flow of work relating to a range of technologies (e.g., medical device, materials engineering, physics, mechanical design, consumer electronics, industrial equipment and controls, software and computer engineering, etc.).

This is an excellent opportunity within a progressive firm. You will have the opportunity for comprehensive client interaction. The existing client base is well distributed and includes a broad spectrum of large and small clients. This is premier work with a talented group of peers with flexible hours, client origination incentives, production incentives, and more.

Attorney Requirements:
  1. Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, electrical, computer, aeronautical) or Physics. An MS or higher is not required, but would certainly be valued.
  2. JD, State Bar, USPTO Bar with a solid academic background.
  3. At least 4 years of full-time patent drafting and prosecution experience.
  4. Any prior product development engineering experience would also be valued.
Agent Requirements:
  1. Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, electrical, computer, aeronautical) or Physics. An MS or higher is preferred.
  2. USPTO Bar with a solid academic background.
  3. At least 4 years of full-time patent drafting and prosecution experience.
  4. Any prior product development engineering experience would also be valued.
Additional Notes:

An existing book is not required, but if you have portables, that would certainly be valued. This firm supports new business development and provides objective compensation for client origination.
