Job summary

Brightwing seeks a Patch Management Specialist to coordinate patching across OT systems, PI infrastructure, servers, and workstations. You will ensure cybersecurity standards are met and drive reliability by validating patches before and after deployment.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, operations, IT, and site leadership, obtaining approvals, and maintaining audit-ready patch records. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential in this critical function.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OT systems (DCS, SCADA, PI) and patch management processes.
• Experience with patching tools and patch workflows.
• Understanding of cybersecurity requirements in OT environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execute, and validate patching activities across OT systems, servers, and workstations.
• Coordinate patch schedules with stakeholders and obtain approvals.
• Assess patches for applicability, compatibility, and risk; perform scans to determine requirements.
• Apply approved patches and place systems in maintenance mode as needed; verify functionality post-patch.
• Maintain patching records, checklists, and audit-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity teams, and vendors; support outages and maintenance windows.
• Assist with backup, recovery, and system lifecycle support.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and validating patching activities across OT systems, including control systems, PI infrastructure, servers, and workstations, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and maintaining system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patch Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate patch schedules with stakeholders
  • Communicate with engineering, operations, and site leadership
  • Obtain approvals prior to patch execution
• System Assessment & Patch Evaluation:
  • Identify and evaluate applicable patches
  • Assess system compatibility and operational risk
  • Perform scans to determine patch requirements
• Patch Deployment Execution:

• System Validation & Recovery:
  • Verify system functionality after patching
  • Ensure systems return to full operational state
• Compliance & Documentation:
