PAT Systems Control Engineer

Job summary

eXalt, a fast-growing technology company, seeks a Control and Automation Engineer for PAT Systems to own the control layer of the PAT chain, from system models and design to real-time implementation and bench testing on advanced FSO platforms.

You will develop robust control solutions in collaboration with optical, mechanical and embedded teams, leveraging MATLAB/Simulink, Kalman filtering and RTOS-based implementations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics, EE or related.
• Proven closed-loop control on real hardware.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink proficiency.
• Experience with Kalman filtering and estimation.
• Knowledge of forward/inverse kinematics and reference frames.

Responsibilities

• Design, tune and validate control laws for pointing loops.
• Develop velocity and position-control for pointing mechanisms.
• Build plant models and end-to-end simulations.
• Implement control algorithms on target hardware.
• Coordinate with optical, mechanical and electrical teams.
• Bench testing, correlation and validation.
