Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Engineer to design, develop, and optimize automated control systems and feedback algorithms across our engineering projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware design teams, embedded software engineers, and system architects—ensuring all dynamic systems operate with high efficiency, robust stability, and strict adherence to industry compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Control System Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end design, modeling, simulation, and hardware implementation of classical and modern control algorithms (PID, state-space, MPC).
  • Regulatory & Functional Compliance: Maintain detailed control system documentation, code repositories, and safety analyses; align design activities with safety frameworks (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and internal SOPs.
  • System Dynamics & Signal Integrity: Perform dynamic system modeling, transfer function derivation, frequency domain analysis (Bode plots, Nyquist), and sensor signal conditioning/filtering to ensure system performance and stability.
  • Risk Mitigation & Diagnostics: Identify system performance bottlenecks, latency risks, and stability margin degradation; design fault detection and isolation algorithms to handle dynamic failures safely.
  • Quality Assurance & Verification: Author test plan specifications, execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulations, and assist in technical audits to ensure tape-out/manufacturing readiness.
  • Technical Liaison: Function as the key technical contact for hardware component suppliers, sensor vendors, and cross-functional teams during performance evaluations and integration reviews.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Required).
  • Experience: 0–5 years of experience in control systems design, dynamic modeling, embedded control, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Technical Skills (Required):
  • Strong foundation in linear/nonlinear control theory, dynamic systems modeling, and signal processing.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and system simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with dynamic system programming in C/C++ or Python for embedded environments.
  • Familiarity with sensor integration (IMUs, encoders, pressure sensors) and standard communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, UART).
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing tools (e.g., dSPACE, NI VeriStand, Speedgoat).
  • Knowledge of system identification, state estimation algorithms (Kalman Filters), or Model Predictive Control (MPC).
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262 / IEC 61508) and low-power embedded design.
What We Offer
  • Targeted Placement: Direct marketing to our network of hiring managers in the Tech, Semiconductor, Manufacturing, Automotive, and MedTech industries.
  • Technical Resume Rebuild: Optimization of your profile to highlight control architecture, system modeling, and HIL testing expertise.
  • Interview Coaching: Guidance on technical control theory, MATLAB/Simulink coding, and system design case studies.
