Job summary

USPI's Urology ASC - Downtown is hiring a full-time Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse or LPN to provide continuous nursing care from pre-op through discharge. The role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy with perioperative support.

The candidate should hold a state RN or LPN license with BLS and ACLS; PALS if required by the center, and have PACU or Critical Care experience. Strong communication and clinical judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN/LPN School of Nursing
• Active RN or LPN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of the patient's condition
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
