Job summary

FAENA in Miami Beach seeks an experienced Pastry Chef to plan, prep, and execute pastry production for designated outlets, ensuring quality and proper plating according to recipes. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas and equipment.

Responsibilities include meeting with the Sous Chef, starting daily prep, ensuring paper readiness for POS, and communicating shortages to support seamless service for guests and residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English; fluency in other languages is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with speed, accuracy and good judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Project management experience and leadership skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, standards.
• Prepare all plates following recipes and yield guides.
• Start prep work and production of items needed for the day.
• Inform Sous Chef of shortages and assist during busy periods.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of work areas.
• Meet with Sous Chef to review assignments and anticipated business levels.
• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Check POS printer paper and ensure readiness for the shift.
