Farmers Restaurant Group in Washington, DC is looking for a Pastry and Bakery Prep Cook to join a fast-paced culinary team. You will prepare items from scratch, read prep lists, measure ingredients, and keep a clean, organized work area in a high-volume kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and food.
• Bread and pastry preparation experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items, following standard recipes and procedures within a specified time.
• Read prep list and prep items, as assigned.
• Properly measure and assemble ingredients required to follow recipe or instructions.
• Clean, organize, stock, and maintain work area and storage areas.
• Rinse and cut raw food products.
• Move food in and out of industrial ovens and cook over an open flame.
• Taste, smell, and view food to ensure adherence to quality standards.
