Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Pastry Kitchen Supervisor for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel & Spa! Omni Hotels has been named one of the "Best-Led Companies of 2024" by Glassdoor.

The Pastry Kitchen Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leaders to ensure the successful execution of all culinary operations, resulting in high guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include creating schedules, executing orders, preparing all pastry food items, maintaining quality and consistency, and ensuring all food is served according to specifications.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $25.00/hour based on experience. Full-time associates are entitled to benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Maternity Leave, 401(k), and Paid Time Off. Responsibilities

  1. Control the quality and consistency of all food served.
  2. Create and adjust work schedules according to workloads and occupancy.
  3. Order and receive ingredients and supplies.
  4. Conduct departmental line-ups regularly.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of all food prep and production areas.
  6. Conduct monthly inventory of all products.
  7. Ensure work areas are ready at least 15 minutes prior to service.
  8. Ensure timely supply of all food for service.
  9. Assist in controlling food costs.
  10. Assist in producing and plating dishes.
  11. Prepare and store food items for advanced production.
  12. Report maintenance or security issues promptly.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods (at least 8 hours per shift).
  2. Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, AM/PM shifts.
  3. Ability to stand for extended periods (at least 8 hours per shift).
  4. Effective communication skills in English.
  5. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos.
  6. Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
  7. Proficiency in preparing prep lists and par sheets.
  8. Ability to meet Omni Hotels & Resorts standards.
  9. Ability to update and maintain inventory.
  10. Self-motivated with limited supervision.
  11. Previous pastry kitchen experience is required.
