Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, a premier luxury resort group, seeks an Assistant Pastry Chef for our Dominican Republic property. You will oversee daily pastry, dessert, and bakery production, ensuring flawless quality and presentation.

The role involves guiding a pastry team, developing new desserts for restaurants, banquets, and events, and upholding strict hygiene and cost controls. Ideal candidates bring experience in luxury hospitality, strong pastry knowledge, and proven staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of pastry, desserts, and bakery production.
• Experience supervising culinary teams in luxury hospitality, resorts, or high-end restaurants.
• Knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and food safety standards.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and high presentation standards.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the supervision of daily pastry, dessert, and bakery production.
• Ensure the quality, presentation, flavor, and consistency of all preparations.
• Supervise, train, and support the pastry team during daily operations.
• Assist in developing new products, desserts, and culinary concepts for restaurants, banquets, and special events.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and food handling standards.
• Support inventory management, cost control, waste reduction, and efficient use of ingredients.
• Coordinate with other culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth and consistent operations.
