Job summary

Desert Diamond Casino in Arizona seeks a pastry cook to assist the Pastry Sous Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of pastry items across all venues. You will follow recipes, learn knife skills, and maintain clean, organized work areas while working in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with two years pastry/cake experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and obtain gaming license.
• Must obtain Food Handlers card and TIPS certification.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods per menu and demand.
• Learn proper knife skills, cooking and baking techniques.
• Follow standardized recipes for all foods and outlets.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized work areas.
• Communicate with Pastry Chefs and team about stock and needs.
• Ensure safe par levels and proper storage of foods.
• Follow TOGE, tribal, City, State and Federal health/food safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required.
