Job summary

Desert Diamond Casino West Valley is seeking a Pastry Lead who will prepare bakery items, supervise prep cooks, and ensure consistency with menus. You will follow standardized recipes and maintain par levels for all pastry outlets.

You’ll manage day-to-day kitchen operations, train pastry staff, uphold food safety standards, and communicate with the Pastry Sous Chef to deliver high-quality desserts across venues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, plus four years as baker/pastry cook; at least one year supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods per menu and demand.
• Use proper knife skills, cooking and baking techniques, terms.
• Follow standardized recipes for all foods across venues.
• Communicate clearly with Pastry Chefs and team members.
• Maintain par levels and stock levels for pastry items.
• Delegate tasks to pastry cooks.
• Keep a clean, organized and sanitized work area per health regulations.
• Ensure all venues are ready for service by management deadlines.
