Job summary

Major Food Group seeks Pastry Cooks for Sadelle's in Dallas. The role focuses on creating pastries, planning dessert menus, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness for a high-volume, fine dining environment.

You will oversee a team of junior pastry cooks, develop ideas from scratch, and ensure top standards of cuisine and professionalism in a collaborative kitchen. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required.
• Culinary diploma with a concentration in Pastry Arts or equivalent in experience strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Create and prepare all pastry items as required by the business.
• Prepare, clean and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen.
• Come up with recipe ideas from scratch.
• Plan the menu of desserts and pastry to complement savory items.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times.
• Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary.
• Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients.
• Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace.
