Job summary

Four Seasons Maui is seeking a Pastry Cook 5 to prepare pastry items and support the Food & Beverage division on the Maui resort. The role reports to Pastry Management and requires adherence to production and quality standards while maintaining a sanitary kitchen.

The position offers an hourly rate of $29.96, opportunities for training and development, and potential career growth within Four Seasons hotels. Candidates must have the Hawaii Food Handler's Card and pass TB clearance.

Qualifications

• Culinary education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean all equipment and utensils.
• Basic mathematics essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastry items of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deck oven, rotating oven, gas stove, Hobart mixers, dough sheeter, bun divider, proofer, steamer, food processor, slicer.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out‑of‑stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.

Pastry Cook 5

Preparing sweet items, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, fruit compotes, guest orders and banquet event orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Division , reporting to the Pastry Management Team . Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.
