Job summary

Cuba Libre is seeking a part-time Pastry Cook to craft our curated desserts in collaboration with the Executive Chef, on a 24-hour weekly schedule chosen by you. You’ll help execute Cuban dessert recipes like Tres Leches Cake and Cuban Flan, with opportunities to contribute new items as the menu evolves.

Applicants should bring 2 years of pastry experience, a culinary school diploma preferred, and a commitment to food safety. You must be at least 18 and eligible to work in the United States.

If you love phenomenal Cuban food, Latin music and exciting Nightlife, consider joining our team!

We are looking for experienced Pastry Cooks part time to make our desserts 3 days/week, or around 24 hours/week. Work with the Executive Chef to set your own schedule on days and hours you prefer. Our Pastry Cooks master existing Cuba Libre dessert recipes designed by our James Beard award winning Founding Chef Guillermo Pernot: Tres Leches Cake, Cuban Flan, Mami Totty's Arroz con Leche, Empanada de Guayaba, and Banana Bread Caramelo as well as exciting new items coming soon.

Pastry Cook Job Requirements:

• 2 years previous experience as a pastry cook or pastry chef.


• The advantage goes to candidates with a diploma from a culinary school.


• Serve safe certification preferred.


• Adhere to food safety standards.


• Strong pastry and culinary skills.


• Be at least 18 years of age.


• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
