Job summary

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is seeking a Pastry Cook to lead the pastry kitchen and create a wide assortment of delicious baked goods for our guests. You will assist with banquet setups, breakfast production, and outlet orders in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.

Two to four years of pastry or restaurant experience are preferred, along with adherence to grooming guidelines, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Two to Four Years of Previous Experience in a Pastry Production Kitchen and/or Restaurant Experience
• Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set up of banquet functions, outlet orders, and breakfast production.
• Monitor and maintain sanitation standards. Monitor and maintain safety standards
• Completes task as assigned by supervisor
• Knowledge of mixing methods; creaming, whipping, folding.
• Knowledge of finishing methods and techniques.
• Basic celebration cake building and icing.
• Knowledge of various dough.
• Basic knife skills for chopping, cutting, dicing, etc.
• Understanding of basic Pastry Kitchen terminology

Job Description

Exceptional service and cuisine are hallmarks of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princessdining experience. Your leadership, creativity and culinary skills as a Pastry Cook will guide the preparation of our Pastry Kitchens wide assortment of delicious baked goods for the enjoyment of our guests.
