Set in the vibrant Sonoran Desert and minutes from Old Town Scottsdale’s celebrated dining, art, shopping, and nightlife, The Scott is a four-diamond destination with a personality all its own: warm, stylish, welcoming, and full of genuine hospitality. Our culinary team brings that same energy to every plate, banquet, buffet, and guest experience.

This is a morning-shift opportunity for a talented, dependable pastry professional who loves the craft, from perfectly prepared doughs and mousses to polished cakes, chocolate décor, and show-stopping desserts.

What You’ll Create
  • Produce a delicious variety of pastries, cookies, hot and cold desserts, and bakery items for restaurant, banquet, and resort operations.
  • Prepare creams, icings, mousses, sauces, fillings, doughs, batters, and other pastry components with consistency and confidence.
  • Fabricate and assemble cakes for stock and production, including higher-level finishing work when needed.
  • Create visually appealing products that meet the resort’s standards for quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Decorate desserts and pastries with chocolate and other finishing touches that make guests stop, smile, and savor.
  • Assist with plate-ups, buffet preparation, and banquet pastry production.
  • Store, package, handle, mark, date, and rotate bakery products according to established food-safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain production schedules, cleaning schedules, and an organized pastry workspace.
  • Collaborate with culinary leaders, fellow cooks, and packers to organize and package bakery products for banquets and events.
  • Communicate product needs promptly with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, and other Culinary Leaders.
  • Support the culinary team with additional duties as assigned.

  • A professional appearance and polished presence appropriate for a four-diamond resort environment.
  • A high level of integrity, reliability, and respect for guests and fellow team members.
  • The ability to work in confined spaces and varying temperatures.
  • The ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, and/or push products weighing up to 200 pounds.
