Overview

As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in our pastry shop, working independently to prepare baked goods according to recipes and plating standards, supporting the quality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete food and station prep before opening hours.
• Recognize quality standards in ingredients and products.
• Deliver pastries according to recipes and plating specifications.
• Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients for baking.
• Cook using various utensils and ovens.
• Ensure attractive presentation and quality of all baked goods.
• Maintain a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.
• Assist in improving the quality of pastries and baked goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in a hotel or related field advantageous.
• Experience in culinary/pastry arts required.
• Flexible with working long hours when needed.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift.
• Thorough knowledge of menu and preparation standards.
