The Higgins Hotel in New Orleans is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our award-winning culinary team. You will assist in preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, cakes, and confections, collaborating with our pastry chefs to elevate dessert offerings.

A minimum of 2 years pastry experience and a valid food handler certification are required, with English fluency and strong communication a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years pastry experience.
• Valid food handler certification required; must obtain within 30 days.
• College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
• Ability to work extended hours when business necessitates.
• Read, write and speak and understand English.
• Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them.

About Our Property

The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center’s name reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used in every major amphibious assault of World War II.
