Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

New Albany Country Club is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. This individual will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries and desserts for our members, events, and dining facilities. The Pastry Cook will work closely with the Pastry Chef to create and execute innovative and delicious pastry dishes. This is a part-time, individual contributor role with the opportunity for growth within our organization.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a part-time hourly position with a compensation range of $18 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries and desserts according to established recipes and techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and storage areas
  • Ensure all pastries and desserts are presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and spoilage
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with training and coaching new pastry team members
  • Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
  • Handle special requests and dietary needs from members and guests


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a Pastry Cook in a professional setting
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and concepts
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
