ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a PASTRY COOK

Albert Hotel is located on a three-acre site from 242 to 248 East Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX. The hotel is tucked away from Main Street behind historic buildings, offering a peaceful escape with quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. It features 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtful extras. The property boasts three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and in-room dining. Guests can enjoy an outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The hotel is ideal for events, with a 3,600 sq. ft. event space, a 1,200 sq. ft. mezzanine deck, and an event lawn.

What you'll do:
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Prepare and cook dishes promptly and consistently, following recipes and procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitization of work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
  • Transport food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas.
  • Assist in restocking and replenishing supplies.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish pastry items.
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables for preparation.
  • Test food items for doneness using methods like tasting, temping, or piercing with utensils.
  • Estimate food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.
