Position: Pastry Chef

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Pastry Chef at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, located at 6067 West Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Thursday through Monday, mornings and evenings required. Hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior pastry sous chef experience preferred.

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour.

Job Summary:

Creates, plans, and supervises the daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Essential Duties:
  1. Supervises daily pastry and baked goods production and distribution.
  2. Ensures recipes, standards, food costs, and quantities are maintained.
  3. Maintains proper food handling, presentation, and temperature standards.
  4. Monitors sanitation and equipment maintenance in the pastry kitchen.
  5. Supervises kitchen staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and reviews.
  6. Assists in planning seasonal menus.
  7. Manages pastry supplies and inventory.
  8. Performs additional duties as assigned.
