Pastry Chef - Los Angeles


We are in search of a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Your role will involve overseeing the entire pastry department, from menu planning to training and managing staff. You must have a passion for pastry making and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative dessert menus that meet the needs of our customers
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Train and manage a team of pastry cooks to ensure high-quality products are consistently produced
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new dessert offerings for special events or holidays
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of different types of desserts, pastries, baking techniques, and ingredients
- Creative flair with attention to detail for decorating pastries
