Job description

We are hiring immediately for full-time Pastry Chef positions.

Location: UF Health Jacksonville - 655 West 8th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, hours may vary, including weekends and holidays; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous pastry chef experience is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Creates, plans, and supervises the daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises daily pastry and baked good production and distribution.
• Ensures recipes and standards are followed; controls food costs; prepares appropriate quantities.
• Maintains proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Monitors sanitation and maintenance of the pastry kitchen and equipment.
• Supervises kitchen/pastry staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
• Assists in planning and implementing seasonal menus.
• Manages pastry supplies and inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
