Zuma Restaurant in Miami is seeking a Pastry Chef de Partie to support the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in executing pastry recipes with precision and creativity. You will maintain a clean pastry station, collaborate on new menu items, and mentor junior team members while adapting to a high-volume, guest-focused environment in our contemporary Japanese restaurant collection.

Qualifications

• Experience as Pastry Chef de Partie or similar in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong pastry technique including mixing, baking, piping and decorating.
• Knowledge of pastry ingredients, flavors and combinations.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts and baked goods to Zuma standards.
• Execute pastry recipes with precision and consistency; ensure presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized pastry station and proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or discrepancies to Pastry Sous Chef.
• Train and mentor junior pastry team members; assist in daily pre-service briefings.
