Job summary

Aramark is hiring a baker to join our food services team in the Ann Arbor area. You will bake diverse items according to recipes, prepare ingredients, and operate baking equipment while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Experience in baking and knowledge of food safety regulations are preferred. Candidates must obtain required food safety certifications and maintain a positive customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations.
• Must obtain food safety certification(s).
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates ovens, stoves, mixers, and similar equipment.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Stores food following safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follows Aramark safety policies, sanitation, and asset protection.
