Farmers Restaurant Group in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Pastry Prep Cook to join our high-volume kitchen. You will prepare from-scratch items, follow recipes, and maintain clean stations in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen or bakery preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and food.
• Bread and pastry preparation experience helpful.
• Teamwork in a loud kitchen environment.
• Read and follow recipes to standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to recipes within time limits.
• Read prep lists and assemble items as assigned.
• Measure and combine ingredients to recipe specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and storage areas.
• Move food in and out of ovens and monitor quality during cooking.
