Job summary

Temple Square Hospitality Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Pastry Assistant - Bakery for part-time hours (15–25 per week). The role offers competitive pay from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, with scheduling flexibility at one of Utah’s most iconic hospitality destinations.

You will assist with preparing dough, batter, fillings and decorations; portion, weigh and organize ingredients; maintain bakery cleanliness; follow food safety standards; and support inventory and ordering of baking

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or pastry environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic pastry techniques, tools, and terminology.
• Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately.
• Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing dough, batter, filling, frosting, etc.
• Help shape, portion, and decorate pastries and desserts
• Weigh, measure, and organize ingredients according to recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and utensils
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
• Communicate effectively with management to ensure smooth operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
