Job description

Pasting Operator (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate paste to grids to create plates that allow batteries to hold charge.
• Load raw materials into machines and manually control machine operation.
• Carrying out visual inspections for quality and quantity.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including a respirator, and perform all tasks safely.

Day‑to‑Day Requirements

• Work in a lead‑acid battery manufacturing plant.
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and a heavy‑environment setting.
• Clean shaven; comply with strict hygiene rules, including mandatory showering and on‑site lunch periods.
• Be able to lift 50‑80 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving ability.
• Complete required documentation.
• Maintain excellent attendance record.

Shift

2nd Shift: 3:00PM – 11:30PM

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or greater.
• 2‑3 years of manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work instructions and safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
