Job summary

KORE1 is seeking a General Assembly Operator for 1st shift in Sandersville, GA to load materials, apply paste to grids, and create plates for battery cells. You will work in a battery manufacturing plant, adhering to safety rules and wearing PPE to protect yourself and others.

The role requires 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, basic English and basic math skills, and a willingness to lift 50–80 lbs and stand for long periods. Training on machine controls and quality inspections is provided.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into machines and manually move materials to/from machines.
• Apply paste to grids and create plates that support battery cells.
• Perform visual inspections for quality and quantity.
• Follow safety rules and wear all required PPE, including respirator.
• Complete required documentation and maintain good attendance.

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for numerous contract to hire General Assembly Operator's. This role is for a General Assembly Operator's 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Our client is looking for a driven and thorough person for the General Assembly Operator role. Your role as the General Assembly Operator will include applying the appropriate paste to grids, creating plates that help our world class batteries hold its charge. You will be loading raw materials into machines, manually on/off bear materials from/to machines and perform visual inspections for quality and quantity. As the General Assembly Operator, you will be committed to performing your role safely and have the ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including a respirator. This role is a great opportunity to jump start your career in a new and exciting direction.

Job Description

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature and heavy environment is a plus.
• Must be clean shaven
• All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
• You must be able to lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
• Strong team skills
• Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
• Ability to complete any required documentation.
• High dedicated with a proven record of excellent attendance.
