Job summary

KORE1 is seeking a General Assembly Operator for a contract-to-hire position in a lead-acid battery manufacturing environment. The role involves applying paste to grids, loading materials, and performing quality checks on products. Second shift runs 3pm-11:30pm, with strict safety and hygiene protocols on site.

Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years in manufacturing, basic math and English, and the ability to lift heavy loads. PPE, including respirator, is required.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

  • Work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
  • Lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Learn and operate machine controls, gauges, and hand tools.
  • Follow hygiene rules and PPE requirements including a respirator.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team to solve problems.

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for numerous contract to hire General Assembly Operator's. This role is for a General Assembly OperatorSecond Shift 3pm-11:30pm
Our client is looking for a driven and thorough person for the Operator role. Your role as the Operator will include applying the appropriate paste to grids, creating plates that help our world class batteries hold its charge. You will be loading raw materials into machines, manually on/off bear materials from/to machines and perform visual inspections for quality and quantity.As the Operator, you will be committed to performing your role safely and have the ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including a respirator. This role is a great opportunity to jump start your career in a new and exciting direction.

Job Description

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature and heavy environment is a plus.
  • Must be clean shaven
  • All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
  • You must be able to lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
  • Strong team skills
  • Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to complete any required documentation.
  • High dedicated with a proven record of excellent attendance.
