Job summary

Parry's Pizzeria & Taphouse | South Rim is seeking a part-time cook to support the hot side of our line in San Antonio, TX. The Pasta & Sauté Line Cooks prepare pasta, sautéed, and grilled items to Parry's recipes, maintaining quality and ticket-time expectations.

You will communicate with team members, manage multiple tickets, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards while contributing to a clean, organized kitchen and high-volume performance.

Qualifications

• Previous BOH or line cook experience preferred.
• Experience working a pasta, sauté, or grill station is a plus.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask during high-volume service.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to food quality and consistency.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pasta, sautéed, and grilled items following Parry's recipes and standards.
• Execute orders accurately while maintaining ticket-time standards.
• Understand taste, appearance, and quality expectations for each item.
• Communicate with the Leader in the Window and line cooks to ensure complete orders.
• Prioritize tickets with composure and organization.
• Label, date, rotate, and store foods per standards.
• Monitor station pars and communicate needs to prevent shortages.
• Maintain a clean, stocked workstation.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist teammates and support opening/closing duties as needed.
