Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join the planned works team for social housing projects. Site-based within Worcester with hybrid working patterns and a 39-hour week.

You will install fire doors, undertake remedial works, and work closely with tenants and trades while maintaining high safety standards. Opportunities for training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection or Joinery/ carpentry required.
• ASFP and FIRAS qualifications desirable.
• IFE Level 2/3 in Passive Fire Protection may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Location: Site based within Worcester

Standard Hours: Monday - Friday, 39 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join Novus Property Solutions, planned works team providing high-quality Fire Door installation and remedial works within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Installation of fire doors and completion of remedial works within a social housing environment
• Previous experience in social housing, including working directly with tenants, is desirable
• Ability to work from job tickets or handheld devices on a daily basis
• Work collaboratively with other trades and the wider site or contract team, while managing your own workload effectively
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a skills test, including the installation of a fire door
• Adhere to Novus' high standards of health and safety at all times
• Applicants will have joinery/carpentry qualification at level 2 or above, FIRAS qualifications are desirable
• NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection or Joinery/ Carpentry
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• Qualifications and knowledge in;
  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry/Joinery or Passive Fire Protection
  • ASFP Passive Fire Protection Training
  • FIRAS installer assessment or BM Trada Fire Door Installer
  • IFE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection
  • PASMA, and IPAF are all advantageous
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• This role is subject to a DBS check
