Job summary

Unique Fire and Security is seeking a dedicated Fire and Security Service Engineer to maintain, diagnose, and repair fire alarm and CCTV systems, ensuring compliance and high client satisfaction. You will work on a range of residential and commercial sites, contributing to safety and security across projects.

The role requires strong IT/network basics, independent work capability, and excellent problem-solving skills. On-call rota participation and a clean driving record are expected.

• Significant experience as a multi-disciplinary Fire & Security Engineer.
• Strong IT skills and understanding of networks and network-connected devices.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fire alarm and CCTV systems to ensure compliance and functionality.
• Diagnose technical issues with fire alarms, CCTV, and related security systems.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, inspections and repairs.

About the Role

As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing fire alarm and security systems, ensuring they remain fully operational and compliant. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction while contributing to the safety and security of their premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) systems, and other security systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.
• Diagnose technical issues with fire alarm systems, VSS (CCTV) cameras, and other security systems promptly and efficiently.
• Respond to emergency service calls, demonstrating a speedy and effective approach to resolving issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Ensure all work adheres to current legislation and working standards.

What We Are Looking For

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up To £38,000 per year DOE with OTE of £42,000+
