Job summary

Northrop Grumman's EOIR program seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to serve as the Technical Lead for sensor architecture and system development of EO/IR sensing. This role spans multiple programs, requiring coordination with architects and regular technical interactions with customers.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in hardware selection for airborne sensors, data processing, and integration and test, plus mentoring of junior staff, and will work on-site from Linthicum, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years in STEM fields
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance or ability to obtain SAP
• Experience leading teams and customer interactions
• Knowledge of sensor architecture and system development

Responsibilities

• Define architectures for IRAD, CRAD, and execution programs
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy EOIR sensors
• Build and maintain physics-based sensor models
• Develop and quantify performance metrics for system performance
• Represent system performance in functional and analytical models
