Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Passenger Conductor Trainee in Pennsylvania. You will support train operations and assist passengers while upholding safety and service standards as part of a close-knit crew.

This union role includes comprehensive training in Wilmington, Delaware, with on-the-job learning and schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of full-time work experience or college coursework (combined).
• Must live within a 2-hour commute of the Crew Base.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet FRA vision/hearing standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Conductor with safe train movements and rule adherence.
• Safely assist passengers and manage service disruptions.
• Perform yard duties and support on-train staff when required.
• Record delays, incidents and passenger impacts accurately.
