Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services in New York seeks a Driver II to operate buses, shuttles or trucks and chauffeur guests and staff. You will perform daily inspections, keep a clean vehicle, and ensure safety, defensiveness, and courteous service on every trip.

The role requires 21+ years old, 1+ year driving experience, DOT medical card, and the ability to handle luggage up to 80 lb. Benefits and consistent hours are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 years or older.
• 1 year+ professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participate in random testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before and after routes.
• Ensure a pleasant and clean atmosphere in and out of the vehicle.
• Wear safety equipment and seat belt at all times while driving.
• Operate company vehicle under 26,000 lb GVW transporting passengers or goods.
• Drive defensively, safely, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with clerical work and dispatcher duties as needed.
• May lift guest luggage up to 80 lb into the vehicle.
• Perform maintenance checks and report malfunctions immediately.
