Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Driver II in Detroit to operate CDL‑grade vehicles (Class B/C) for passenger and light cargo transport. You will conduct safety inspections, assist guests, and maintain a secure, friendly environment inside and around company vehicles.

The role requires a valid CDL, clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT medical and substance tests. Occasional warehouse duties and light administrative tasks may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• 1+ year professional driving experience; customer service preferred.
• Valid CDL Class B or C with clean driving record (5 years).
• DOT physical and medical card required.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol test and random testing.
• Defensive Driving Course completion prior to driving.
• Possession of passenger or airbrake endorsement may be required.
• Experience driving in all weather; tire chain installation.
• Familiar with equipment used on duties and safety procedures.
• Travel less than 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle inspection before and after routes.
• Maintain pleasant, clean atmosphere inside and outside vehicle.
• Operate vehicles under 26,000 lb and transport passengers or goods.
• Drive defensively and provide excellent guest service.
• Escort guests, act as concierge; lift luggage up to 80 lb if needed.
• Log rider information and coordinate with Transportation Office.
• May perform warehouse driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
