Job summary

Aquatech International LLC in Pasco, WA is seeking a full-time Mechanical Technician to support maintenance on water treatment systems at our Pasco site. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, reporting to the O&M Plant Manager as a Non-Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving and communication skills, experience in wastewater or industrial water treatment preferred, and a solid math background. Pay starts at $37.00/hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of relevant experience / Technical School Graduate preferred.
• Repair and replacement of valves as part of routine maintenance.
• Lubrication of rotating equipment and pump alignment tasks.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities and prepare maintenance reports.

Position Overview

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Mechanical Technician to work in our Pasco, WA site. The hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Mechanical Technician will report to the O&M Plant Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below, and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be creative, have good communication skills, team team-oriented, customer service-oriented, detail-oriented, and have excellent math skills. This candidate will also have previous relevant experience working in a similar position. Waste Water industry experience preferred.

Starting Rate of Pay

$37.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

Job Description

• Repair and replacement of valves
• Carry out routine maintenance as per the equipment supplier’s schedules
• Lubrication of rotating equipment
• Pump alignment, bearing / seal replacement
• Arresting leaks
• Repair of chemical dosing pumps
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Be the maintenance lead and schedule preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities
• Advice on spare parts maintenance and inventory
• Housekeeping

Skill Requirements

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting water treatment systems (pumps, motors, blower, valves & piping)
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ideal candidates will have operating and troubleshooting experience at an industrial water treatment plant with one or more of the following technologies: Pre-treatment (P.PT Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra-filtration, EDI, Thermal Desalination, and Zero-Liquid Discharge.
