Job summary

Aquatech Creekside, PA is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to perform routine maintenance on rotating equipment, pumps, valves, and piping, and to coordinate with subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of industrial experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a safety-focused mindset; Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm; Technical School background preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years fixing large industrial pumps, motors, blowers, valves, and piping.
• Technical School graduate preferred.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and subcontractors.
• Detail oriented and team focused.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance per supplier schedules.
• Lubrication of rotating equipment; repair and replacement of valves.
• Pump alignment, bearing/seal replacement.
• Arrest leaks; repair chemical dosing pumps.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities.
• Maintain facility upkeep; lead maintenance scheduling.
• Prepare maintenance reports; advise on parts.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of chemicals.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and rental assets.
• Prepare assets for deployment and post deployment inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Mechanical Service Technician for our location in Creekside, PA. This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm). The Mechanical Service Technician will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be creative, have good communication skills, be team-oriented, be customer service-oriented, be detail-oriented, and have excellent math skills. This candidate will also have previous relevant experience working in a similar position.

Job Description

• Carry out routine maintenance as per the equipment supplier’s schedules
• Lubrication of rotating equipment & Repair and replacement of valves
• Pump alignment, bearing / seal replacement
• Arresting leaks
• Repair of chemical dosing pumps
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Be the maintenance lead and schedule preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Prepare reports on maintenance activitiesAdvice on spare parts maintenance and inventory
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of chemicals safely under the supervisor’s guidance.
• Maintenance and upkeep of rental assets before and after deployment.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and spare parts required for the rental assets.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of rental assets before/after deployment.
• Making sure the rental asset is ready for deployment and also inspection after deployment from the customer site is done.
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting pumps, motors, blower, valves & piping.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ideal candidates will have water treatment and or chemical handling experience at an industrial water treatment facility.
• Attention to detail and being a team player
• Hazwopper safety training or certification will be a plus.
• Forklift certification will be a plus.
