Job summary

Aquatech is hiring a Water Treatment Operator for our Pasco, WA location. The role reports to the O&M Manager and is non-exempt.

Ideal candidates will have experience in operating industrial water treatment plants and strong communication and organizational skills. Starting pay is $35.50 per hour with responsibilities including monitoring, records, quality checks, chemical handling, and plant maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving PT, DM, RO, DAF, Digestors, WW treatment units.
• Knowledge and experience in chemical processes in Pretreatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment 5 Panel Test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the plant operation
• Keep records of operation
• Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
• Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor
• Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
• Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks
• Monitor filter press operation
• Coordinate sludge storage and movement
• Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
• Assist in the maintenance of the plant as required
• Other duties as assigned

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Water Treatment Operator to work in our Pasco, WA location.

The Water Treatment Operator will report to the O&M Manager, perform the duties described in the job description below, and be considered a non-exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be organizehave the d, have the ability to interpret instructions, and have attention to detail. The candidate will have prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants.

Starting Rate Of Pay

• $35.50 per hour

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre-treatment (PT), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Dissolved Aeration Flotation (DAF), Digestors, Waste water treatment units.
• Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment
• This is safety safety-sensitive position and will require a pre-employment 5 Panel Test.

Physical Job Demands

Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders, cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
