Job summary

Aquatech International in Creekside, PA is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician for a full-time, day-shift role. You will perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors, blowers, valves and piping, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safe operation of rental assets.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of hands-on experience with industrial water treatment equipment, technical school training, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of relevant work experience fixing large industrial pumps, motors, blowers, valves & piping
• Technical School Graduate preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance per equipment schedules
• Lubricate rotating equipment; repair and replace valves
• Align pumps; service bearings and seals
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Maintain facility upkeep and inventory of spare parts and consumables

We are looking for a Mechanical Service Technician for our location in Creekside, PA. This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm). The Mechanical Service Technician will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be creative, have good communication skills, be team-oriented, be customer service-oriented, be detail-oriented, and have excellent math skills. This candidate will also have previous relevant experience working in a similar position.

Job Description

• Carry out routine maintenance as per the equipment supplier’s schedules
• Lubrication of rotating equipment &Repair and replacement of valves
• Pump alignment, bearing / seal replacement
• Arresting leaks
• Repair of chemical dosing pumps
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Be the maintenance lead and schedule preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities
• Advice on spare parts maintenance and inventory
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of chemicals safely under the supervisor’s guidance.
• Maintenance and upkeep of rental assets before and after deployment.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and spare parts required for the rental assets.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of rental assets before/after deployment.
• Making sure the rental asset is ready for deployment and also inspection after deployment from the customer site is done.
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting pumps, motors, blower, valves & piping.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ideal candidates will have water treatment and or chemical handling experience at an industrial water treatment facility.
• Attention to detail and being a team player
• Hazwopper safety training or certification will be a plus.
• Forklift certification will be a plus.
