Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking a PASAR After School Care/Activity Specialist to support the daily operations of the PASAR program. You will help supervise and guide students during after-school activities, ensuring safe, engaging experiences.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist with arrival/departure, coordinate activities, and model positive behavior. Candidates with a high school diploma and the ability to build rapport with children and staff are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to develop rapport with children and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of children, parents, and staff.
• Organize PASAR curriculum and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager with student arrival and departure procedures.
• Supervise the children at all times; observe and monitor indoors and outdoors for health and safety.
• Assist with coordination of activities.
• Demonstrate ability to work on a team with PASAR staff.
• Provide positive guidance to help children develop self-discipline.
• Model and apply social and emotional learning lessons to reinforce appropriate social skills.
• Follow Plano ISD attendance policy.
• Clock in and out in a timely manner.
• Report all cases of abuse or suspected abuse as required by law.
• Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and directives from supervisors.
• Complete all assigned training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration and/or supervisor.

Primary Purpose

Responsible for the preparation, supervision, and management of extracurricular activities for students in the PASAR after school program

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent who are at least 16 years of age

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to develop positive rapport with children and staff
• Understand and show respect for confidentiality of children, parents and staff
• Ability to organize and implement PASAR curriculum and activities

Experience

• Experience working with children (preferred)

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager with student arrival and departure procedures

• Assist the PASAR Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager with coordination of activities
