Job summary

Optum is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse I for our Pasadena, CA site. You will perform moderately complex patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a clinician or RN, ensuring high-quality care while supporting site operations.

The role requires graduation from an accredited LVN program, active CA LVN license, BLS certification, and IV/blood withdrawal certification. Pay ranges hourly and includes benefits and opportunities for growth within a clinician-led care organization.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
• Active, unrestricted LVN license from the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain at hire.
• IV and Blood withdrawal certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients to proper exam/treatment area and prepare for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain records and vital signs for RN or clinician.
• Administer medications and perform tests under supervision.
• Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and refills as ordered by the clinician.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens to appropriate destinations.
• Manage patient hospitalizations and bed days.
• Maintain and clean exam/treatment areas and equipment.
• Maintain logs and inventories of supplies.
• Perform telephone screenings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
