OptumCare seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse I in California to perform moderately complex patient-oriented procedures under supervision of a clinician or RN and to support site operations.

Responsibilities include directing patient flow, taking vital signs, administering medications, labeling and transporting specimens, maintaining areas and equipment, and performing telephone screening. Strong LVN training and CA license required.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
• Active, unrestricted LVN license from California.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain at time of hire.
• IV and blood withdrawal certification.

Mansioni

• Direct patient to exam/treatment areas and prepare for procedures.
• Obtain records, vital signs and other pertinent information for RN or clinician.
• Administer medication and perform patient tests under supervision.
• Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and refills per clinician.
• Collect, label and transport specimens as needed.
• Maintain exam/treatment areas and medical equipment.
• Keep logs and inventories; perform telephone screening.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
