Optum is recruiting a Licensed Vocational Nurse I to join our care team in California. You will perform moderately complex patient-oriented procedures under supervision, support exam/treatment flow, administer medications, collect specimens, and maintain patient areas.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, accuracy, and teamwork in a dynamic health system. Required CA LVN license, graduation from an accredited LVN program, BLS, and IV/blood withdrawal certification.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
• Active, unrestricted LVN license from the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain at the time of hire.
• IV and Blood withdrawal certification

Responsabilidades

• Direct patient to proper exam/treatment area and prepare patient for examinations and other procedures. Assists in the transportation of patients and patient flow
• Obtain records and reports vital signs and any other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinician
• Administer medication, perform various patient tests and instruct patients on procedural preparations under the supervision of the clinician or RN
• Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of new refills as ordered by the clinician
• Collect, label, and transport various specimens to appropriate destinations
• Maintain and cleans exam/treatment areas and medical equipment
• Maintain logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of supplies
• Perform telephone screening
• Perform additional duties as assigned
